Alciston is a small village with a long history; it featured in the Domesday book, the church has been here since the 11th C and there is a huge medieval barn and dovecote.

Ideally situated for walks along the South Downs Way, within 5 minutes drive from Charleston Farmhouse, 15 minutes from Glyndebourne, Lewes and the port of Newhaven, 20 minutes from the coastal centres of Brighton and Eastbourne and close to numerous excellent country pubs and restaurants, yet in a peaceful and tranquil setting, Friars Sussex b and b  is perfect for that relaxing break.
